Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your use of Layrr ("the Service"), operated by Kiran Johns, an independent developer based in India. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

The Service

Layrr is a visual website editing tool powered by AI. It allows you to edit websites by selecting elements and describing changes in natural language. The Service is available as a cloud application at app.layrr.dev and as an open-source CLI tool.

Accounts

You must create an account to use the cloud Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

Subscription and billing

• The Service offers a 3-day free trial. After the trial, a paid subscription is required to continue using the cloud app.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly at the current listed price ($29/month as of the date above).
• Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh). By subscribing, you also agree to Polar's terms of service.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Access continues through the end of your current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Edit websites you do not own or have authorization to modify
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service (the CLI is open source; this applies to the cloud platform)
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to generate content that is harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without permission

Intellectual property

You retain full ownership of your projects and any code or content you create using the Service. Layrr does not claim any rights over your work.

The Layrr CLI is licensed under the MIT License. The cloud Service, its branding, and proprietary components remain the property of the operator.

AI-generated output

Edits made through the Service are generated by third-party AI providers (Anthropic and OpenAI). While we strive for accuracy, AI output may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all changes before publishing them.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though we will retain your data for 30 days in case you wish to recover it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
